All Ages Sexual Health

  • SexualityAndU.ca: A Canadian website that offers sexual advice for teens, parents, teachers, and health care professionals.
  • Canadian-Health-Network.ca: A comprehensive website for all ages on health matters with links to sexuality and reproductive health.
  • Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Canada: This site is geared for health care providers and consumers who wish to access clinical practice guidelines on contraception and other sexual health issues. The site also has a contraception hotline, and lists answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Sex-and-relationships.com: Sex and relationships contains information on sexuality, sexual problems, psychosexual issues and how to build intimate relationships.
  • SIECUS: This website of the Sexuality, Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) provides a web-based venue for sexual education, sexual health and sexual advocacy. This is a good site for educators, health care providers, parents, journalists, policy makers, community members and young people. SIECUS provides information on prevention programs, the inadequacies of abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, and the many issues faced by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender populations.
  • Sexual Health Network: This site is dedicated to providing access to sexuality information, education, counseling and other pertinent topics. Despite the significant amount of embedded advertising, the site content is relevant and up-to-date. The section on Disability and Chronic Conditions is a good resource for individuals seeking specific information for their healh concerns.
  • Guttmacher Institute: The Guttmacher Institute advances sexual and reproductive health worldwide through an interrelated program of social science research, public education and policy analysis. For nearly four decades, Guttmacher has demonstrated that scientific evidence — when reliably collected and analyzed, compellingly presented and systematically disseminated — can make a difference in policies, programs and medical practice.
    The institute's work focuses on four key program areas:

  • Not 2 Late: This website on emergency contraception is operated by the Office of Population Research at Princeton University and The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. The site is also peer reviewed by a panel of independent experts.
  • Women's Health Matters: Backed by Women's College Hospital in Toronto, this site provides the latest information, news and research findings on women's health, diseases and lifestyle trends. Many of the articles on the site are also available in French translation.
